Have been many times but today will be my last. My husband and I both ordered burgers well done. His came back medium well but mine was half medium rare. I did not send back as they are half pound burgers and figured I would only eat half. My bun totally disintegrated and was hard to eat half. For a $10 burger it wasn't worth $2. I even complained thinking they would be accommodating on the bill but all I got was an "I'm sorry".

This place is fantastic, a real hidden gem, and hands down my favorite place to eat in Jasper. If you can catch it while it's open, you're in for some of the best food around. The entire menu is brilliant, there's not a thing on it I wouldn't recommend. My personal favorite is the Creole Burger. Did I mention their hamburgers are enormous?The staff here is super friendly, kind, courteous, and awesome. Service is quick and accurate, even on their busiest days. The atmosphere is cozy, aided by a beautiful selection of local, old-timey artwork, and they have excellent taste in music. I have never had a bad experience, and I'm there often enough they remember mine and my fiance's names.This is a wonderful place nestled in downtown, so you'll miss it if you're just doing a flyby of Jasper on the highway. If you're in the area, I hilghly recommend you check it out. You won't regret it.

Surprised! We decided last minute to stop and eat lunch in Jasper, Alabama. Checked out some reviews and selected the Black Rock! My wife had the Italian Panni and enjoyed it. I had the fried oysters with shoestring potatoes and coleslaw! Excellent, tasty, plenty for lunch and priced right! Stop in if you are near Jasper!

Passed through Jasper during Covid on cross country family emergency trip. BRB had great reviews and was a very pleasant surprise. Ordered 2 burgers and a salad for curbside. Food and service were amazing. I've eaten A LOT of burgers, and BRB's "Alabama burger" is now in my top 3. Highly recommended; if we're ever back in town, BRB is where we'll eat.

Very talented chef!! Cajun inspired menu will make you want to keep coming back until you have tried one of everything. Nice quiet environment is perfect for an evening out for 2. Also can accommodate groups but calling ahead would be beneficial.

Had the catfish the first time and it was amazing, had the steak the next time and it was amazing. Great food. Just make sure you call in a reservation at least 30 minutes or more prior, they're usually busy.

The food was very good. Staff was quick. Prices are high for the area. However, the quality of the food is beyond the price. Liken it to Perry's or Flemming's. Very fresh & portions are very good. The pictures are of the Fillet Mignon, Blackened Halibut, and Blackened Grouper. Dessert was crispy creme bread pudding. It's was very good as well. The best place to eat in Walker county & most of Jefferson county.

I've only been lucky enough to go there once, but it was a great experience. As most everyone knows or has heard, the seating is pretty tight, but I think that just adds to it. The food was fantastic and the service was as well. Hope to get to go back soon. If I could ever find a buyer for this kidney...

Good presentation of food items. However, I would have appreciated friendlier service. No one seemed happy that we were there to give our business.

OMG I LOVE this place. The fried green tomato sandwich, the pork chop, salads, snapper... it’s all delicious. By far the best place to eat in Jasper. It deserves 5 more stars.

Delicious food, great service

We stood outside the door, 1st in line for 25 minutes. They told us it would be 2 and half hours before they could seat the two of us. We walked out. The website says you can get reservations but it does not say that they are required. Ridiculous!! 2 people!!

Great for lunch two stars on the price

My roommate and i ate at Black Rock Bistro and the food is out of this world. I had meatloaf with braised greens and green beans and it was delicious. My roommate had the double bacon cheese burger. This is the burger that Black Rockbis famous for. It is huge and he is a big guy. He could only eat half of it. They also have fried green tomatoes which are out of this world. I highly recommend Black Rock Bistro.
